Test your knowledge with a round of survival-themed trivia, then craft your own paracord bracelet—an essential tool in any emergency kit. It’s brains, braids, and a battle for survival (well…kind of). Fun, functional, and perfect for any future zombie hunter!

  • DIY Pumpkin Door Hangers — Cancelled

    Celebrate fall by creating your own wooden pumpkin door hanger! Using a pre-cut wooden pumpkin as your canvas, you’ll paint and decorate a festive piece perfect for your front door or wall. No painting experience needed—just come ready to have fun and take home a cozy autumn decoration.

  • Fork-Painted Black Cat

    The toddlers will use a fork and black paint to create a black cat.

  • Clean Water for the Apocalypse

    The undead don’t care if your water’s clean—but you should. In this hands-on session led by a specialist from the Mississippi Rural Water Association, you’ll learn how to build your own emergency water filter from everyday materials. It’s a life-or-death skill in any crisis—zombie or otherwise. Learn how filtration works, why it matters, and what to do when there’s no tap in sight. Will your filter hold up… or will you be the next to fall?

Bring your favorite spooky read, podcast rec, or theory to share—and enjoy a few creepy treats while we chat. No commitment, no spoilers (unless you want them), just good conversation and eerie fun.

    🍂 Fall Festival at the Library Tuesday, October 14 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Fall Fun at the Library! Join us for a full day of family-friendly fall excitement! Enjoy ponies and a hands-on petting zoo with Angie Hale’s Pony Tales, then keep the fun going with games, prizes, and tasty popcorn while browsing seasonal reads. Local organizations will have volunteers on-site to help run games, share resources, and hand out treats—making it a wonderful day to connect with the community. Plus, don’t forget—you can sign up for a library card while you’re here! Admission is free! Bring your family, friends, and your fall spirit for a day full of fun!
