    Get into the spooky spirit! Learn how to create creepy, cute, or classic Halloween looks using face paint and beginner-friendly special effects. You’ll practice on silicone makeup faces (not your own skin), so no worries about allergies or mess. Try your hand at zombie wounds, skeleton designs, or your own monster creation. We’ll provide the supplies—you bring the imagination!

    Come and join us on Halloween Day, with the children for a spooky celebration. Grab your costume, bring your candy bag, and join us for a spooktacular day of fun, frights, and sweet delights! Maps will guide you to each stop. Hey parents while you’re here, the Friends of the Library will be handing out goodies and raffling off a copy of Alan Brown’s Haunted Mississippi!

  • DIY Thankful Leaves

    Celebrate gratitude this season by creating your own wooden leaf door hanger! Paint and decorate your leaf, then write down what you’re thankful for to display at home or gift to someone special. A fun, hands-on way to share thanks and add festive fall decor. All materials provided—just bring your creativity!

    The toddlers will create a character using a leaf shape, googly eyes, and colored paper.

    The children will use fall colors to design a fall silhouetted art piece with various household utensils.
