  • Origami

    Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month with us by learning Origami and a few historical facts behind this Japanese paper-folding art form. This is a great way to improve fine motor and coordination skills. Square sheets of paper and origami folding instructions will be provided.

  • Paper Pinwheel Craft

    K–5th Grade

    The children will make homemade paper pinwheel using the materials given.

  • CLUE Mystery Game

    Happy Sherlock Holmes Day! Put your thinking cap on, brush off those magnifying glasses, and help us solve a (pretend) murder mystery by playing the game CLUE.

  • “Q is for… Quilt”

    Toddlers will make a quilt for Teddy’s bed using various colored squares.

  • Game Day!

    School’s out for the Summer! Bring a friend, make a new friend, visit the library, and play some team-building games.

  • Freelance Project Day

    K–5th Grade

    The children will be given a piece of poster board, markers, and dot stickers.

  • Memorial Day

    K-12th Grade

    The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library is closed from Saturday, 5/27/23 through Monday, 5/29/23 in observance of Memorial Day.  Hope that you have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend.

  • “R is for… Road”

    Toddlers will make a road using black and yellow paper and have a car race.
