• Santa’s Workshop

    Holiday Events

    Santa and Mrs. Claus are back in town for our 3rd Annual Santa’s Workshop. Drop in any time between 9:30 AM-12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-2:30 PM. Bring your camera to take photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus before they dash away to the North Pole for the big day! Visit the Children’s Department at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 2:00 PM to hear stories read by Mrs. Claus. Venture outside to meet some furry friends from the North Pole’s Farm (Angie Hales Pony Tales). Also, enjoy making fun crafts and doing a scavenger hunt. Parents and guardians are encouraged to visit the Vitalant Blood Mobile located in the West parking lot.

    The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library staff would like to wish everyone a Happy & Blessed Easter.  Enjoy time with your families, friends, and/or furbabies.  Safe travels to all who are traveling to the next town, county, state or wherever your path takes you.  Our library is closed from Friday, 3/29/24, through Sunday, 3/31/24.  We will reopen on Monday, 4/1/24, at 8:30am.  Thank you!

  • 3rd Annual Fall Festival

    Get ready for an unforgettable day of fall magic at the library’s Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 9, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM! Experience the joy of Angie Hale's Pony Tales petting zoo and delightful pony rides, plus a lineup of thrilling games to enjoy. Unleash your creativity and come dressed in your best costume for our all-ages costume contest at 2:30 PM—prizes await the most fabulous outfits, so bring your A-game! Prepare to be wowed by Magician Dorian LaChance, the "Magic Man," and his whimsical “Kind of Kooky, Not Too Spooky Halloween Show,” with two spellbinding performances at 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. While you’re here, don’t forget to sign up for a library card or check out some fang-tastic books! This thrilling event is completely free, so gather your family and friends for a day filled with laughter, creativity, and seasonal cheer!

    Join us for the fourth annual Santa's Workshop at the library, where holiday magic comes alive! Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for festive photos and heartwarming stories. Mrs. Claus will delight children with her enchanting Storytime at 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM so be sure to gather around in the Children’s Department! Santa and Mrs. Claus will take a break for lunch at 12:00 PM, but don’t worry—there’s still plenty of fun to be had! Meet adorable animals at Angie Hales Pony Tales petting zoo and enjoy pony rides that will bring smiles to all ages! Plus, get creative with holiday crafts to make your season extra special. And as a wonderful way to give back, we’ll be hosting a Vitalant Blood Drive during the event from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Bring your family and friends for a day filled with laughter, joy, and holiday cheer!
