Happy Golfer’s Day, celebrate by playing with your friends and spreading the joy of the game. Fun Fact: According to Facts.net, golf was the first sport played on the moon. Apollo 14 commander and golfer Alan Shepard decided to leave a lasting mark before leaving the Moon. Shepard swung at two golf balls on the moon, one of which he claimed went on for miles, and eventually landed in a crater called the “Javelin.”
Toddlers will make a paper plate lollipop.
The children will create a dandelion flower using Q-tips and paint.
It’s National Scrabble Day! Are you really good at spelling or maybe you need to brush up on some words? Challenge your friends to a game of Scrabble at the library. See who can score the most points on the “Triple Word Scores”!
Come play BINGO, meet new people, and win prizes!
Toddlers will participate in Music and Movement Day and create maracas.
The children will make homemade lava lamps using the materials given.
In the month of April we celebrate Golfer’s Day. We wanted to extend that fun to our awesome 6th-12th Graders. Bring a friend, build a golf course using jumbo Legos, and see if you and your friends can get through the course!
We hope that you enjoy a peaceful long weekend! Thank you.
