International Dot Day is soon approaching and we want to use your art to display in the library. The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds is a story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. Teens/Tweens are encouraged to “make their make” by transforming a dot on a piece of paper into something more.
The children will create a picture using white paper and a single black marker.
The library is closed on Saturday, 9/2/23, and Monday, 9/4/23, in observance of Labor Day. Our staff hopes that you have a lovely holiday! We will reopen on Tuesday, 9/5/23, at 8:30am. Thank you.
Toddlers will create a xylophone using different colored pieces of paper.
The children will create a picture with their name using the materials given.
On October 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse is due to take place. We are going to look at the Sun to see what the big fuss is all about. We will be using SUNoculars and a SolarMax telescope to safely observe the Sun.
Toddlers will create a collage of yellow smiley face inside the yellow letter “y” on yellow paper.
The children will play different versions of bingo for a chance to win some prizes.
