    Happy Youth Art Month! Bring your creativity and join us for glow-in-the-dark painting! Aprons will be provided, but be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. We will be painting flat wooden easter eggs so you can see them day or night

    The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library staff would like to wish everyone a Happy & Blessed Easter.  Enjoy time with your families, friends, and/or furbabies.  Safe travels to all who are traveling to the next town, county, state or wherever your path takes you.  Our library is closed from Friday, 3/29/24, through Sunday, 3/31/24.  We will reopen on Monday, 4/1/24, at 8:30am.  Thank you!

    Toddlers will create a picture using various colors of torn paper.

  • Monopoly Jr.

    It’s Financial Literacy Month! What better way to learn about finances than playing a game? Monopoly teaches about investing by allowing players to buy and sell properties and make strategic decisions to increase their wealth. This can help students understand the importance of making smart investment decisions and the potential benefits of investing.

    Safety Warning: Never look directly at the Sun because it can harm your eyes. Are you ready for today’s solar eclipse? Blast off with us and build your own eclipse viewer, enjoy various craft stations for all ages, and learn how a solar eclipse happens just in time to view the partial eclipse in our local area!

  • Bumblebee Craft

    Toddlers will make a bumblebee out of a paper plate and other materials.

  • DIY Macrame Plant Hanger

    Macrame is a crafting technique that uses knots to create various textiles. We will be using rope to create plant hangers, but you can also use this technique to create dream catchers, wall hangings, and more.

  • SNAP Circuit Project I

    K–5th Grade

    The children will be using snap circuit components to learn basic engineering.

  • Flowers & DIY Planters

    Happy Earth Day! Earth Day is a day to honor the achievements of the environmental movement and raise awareness of the need to protect Earth's natural resources for future generations. Stop by to paint a ceramic planter and plant a plant to take home and enjoy.

  • Ants at a Picnic

    Toddlers will create a scene of ants at a picnic using various paper products, stickers, and glue.
